With well-tended garden surrounds and rolling green farmland, Amelda’s is an ideal escape. The farmhouse comfortably sleeps ten adults, with three queen-sized beds and four king singles, in addition to a bathroom and two ensuites. A beautiful kitchen and outdoor patio area (complete with barbecue) are available for guests – ideal for those wanting to source and cook with local produce. Modern laundry facilities are also on offer.

With the natural beauty of the area’s coastline a relaxed stroll from the front door, there is a seaside experience to suit everyone – both surf beaches and safe swimming areas are located nearby. Local fishing spots are plentiful with boat launching available at Killarney and Port Fairy. Whale watching is a must-do between June and October.

A short walk to Tower Hill will provide ample opportunity to see Australian wildlife in native bush surrounds, including kangaroos, koalas and emus. Climb the peak for stunning bush land views with an ocean backdrop.

The nearby coastal towns of Warrnambool and Port Fairy provide the best of both worlds. Vibrant Warrnambool offers bright cafes, beautiful restaurants and crowded pubs and marks the gateway of the Great Ocean Road. From here a day trip might include the Twelve Apostles, Grampians National Park, Mount Eccles National Park or a food and wine trail. Idyllic Port Fairy will suit those looking for a slower pace – think stone buildings, a round of golf at Port Fairy golf club, ice cream shops and Sunday markets. Or ride the bike trail between Warrnambool and Port Fairy and experience them both!
